Sorry, but that is bullshit. Corruption in the Gilded Age was a two-party business, and Republicans were often reformers. Time you stopped with the ahistorical notion that everyone thought and acted in the same way and with the same body of knowledge throughout history.

The GOP had already become the party of business by then. And if both parties were involved in corruption at that time, that means that the GOP was definitely practiciing.
