Maybe, after millions of dollars and years are wasted. But it was the Supreme Court that struck down the forced bussing issue. Something tells me our current Supreme Court would go all in on the “neighbourhood schools” argument and ignore the fact that the voters in Louisville continually select board members that support the current voluntary scheme.

They were still fighting desegregation in Norfolk, VA when I was stationed in Virginia Beach in 1986 (that case was the first that allowed a school system to dismantle desegregation rules).

So long as he continues to cling to the un-life that he sold his soul to achieve, you can count on Kennedy to be in favor of “states rights” if this case ever reaches the bench.
