Compare that kind of over-the-top opulence to the more restrained interior design of Bill Gates’ home. I don’t think there’s a gold-plated anything in the Gates’ home, though they could certainly afford it.

Bill Gates prefers to spend his money on high-tech toys and gadgets that make life fun and easy. He doesn’t give a shit about impressing stupid people.
