Trump is not going to leave this country; he speaks only English and it is doubtful he would settle in a nation where that is not the primary language. Why can’t he just resign immediately and have Pence pardon him for all his federal crimes? Pence would be thrilled to be president for 2 1/2 months. Of course, Trump can still be charged with state level infractions.

I don’t want to jinx the future and wake up November 4th discovering that he managed to win re-election thanks(again) to the EC.

Personally, I think it far more likely Trump would skedaddle off to Mar-a-Lago and try to fight extradition back to New York; I could see Pence pardoning him for any federal-level offenses, but of course that won’t clear him on any potential state-level charges. How well that tactic would work I can’t say, because I’m not a lawyer.
