The Idea of Debt for Equity swap equating to partial Union and Government ownership does not bother me in theory. VW was run that way for years. What DOES bother me are the PERCENTAGES - they bear No Relationship to the actual claims were they to be presented to a Bankruptcy Court. That is troubling to say the least.
