Gotta love how we’re supposed to accept three things:

1. Nancy is too old for the job and should step down, but Hoyer is not too old to be Majority Leader.

2. There’s all these fine candidates that her opponents supposedly think will run, but none are stepping forward and the excuse is “They won’t run until she steps aside.” (Where have I heard that before?)

3. There’s no way Nancy can win the gavel without getting votes from the House GOP, so she should be prepared to agree to “bipartisan” rule reform if she wants to be Speaker.

Why I love it is because two weeks ago, when Nancy was out in the press telling them that she was confident that the DNC was about to win the House, the press snickered and suggested she was setting herself up to look like an idiot when the GOP kept the House. Now she says she has the Dem votes to win the gavel without groveling to anyone, and the same press are saying she doesn’t have the votes and needs to step aside or compromise.
