It was the first time in two years we had a grilled cheese sandwich. Not great but at the same time it was fabulous (low expectations and all).
The yeast one was a lot of work. The eggs alone was easy breezy and the taste was literally identical.
This dough came together a lot easier than I expected. Fairly wet, but quick bread type doughs often are. I think it may be so in order to trap more air/gas into the dough to help with whatever rising it ends up doing. I just have to be careful to make sure it’s properly done all the way through before pulling it from the oven.
