My patience for ‘Do Something’ Twitter is at its absolute nadir right now.

The fact that we have tenuous control of the Senate on paper and a slim control of the House, along with the White House, does not constitute ‘Complete Control’ in practice. And as we’ve seen, pressure on the two holdouts that subvert our control of the Senate has only hardened their opposition, rather than make them waffle, because they know they have us perfectly by the balls and can tip control back to the Republicans with a single phone call.

So I ask: what the fuck legislation do you think this current Congress can actually pass that would fix this Texas horseshit? What realistic avenues do we have right now other than ‘Bully Manchin or Sinema or you prove all Dems actually want this!’?

Because fuck everything.

We’re really going to lose 2022 on the basis of ‘Do Something’, aren’t we?
