Enforcement -to work on any scale - would have to be mass round ups. Either that or familys snatched individually in the dead of night.

As soon as familys with young children got wind of what was happening they would seek shelter in churches and wait it out becoming cause’celebres - it’s a guaranteed fail on terms of US Government public relations.

Not so. Closing sites using illegal labor could be a start. Occasional raids on work places having been ID’d as using same labor could be further used. Home raids would indeed be counter productive and I’ve never proposed them.
