The guy who cut it is lucky he didn’t blow himself up in the process. If he’d just whacked at the line with an axe or something, he could have earned a Darwin award.

The worst that could have happened is he would have turned the hose into a flame-thrower for a few seconds. I mentioned up-thread tanks are difficult to make explode.

If you want to know how to do a proper gas explosion it involves oxy/acetylene, a 200’ garden hose, a plastic bag and duct tape.
