So, you see, your joke fell flat because you’re kind of ignorant about what you’re trying to mock; it’s hard to poke fun at something when you don’t really have a grasp of it.

If you’re attempting to mock sacred (or profane) animals, make sure that what you’re talking about is actually a sacred or profane animals, or you just wind up seeming ignorant and possibly bigoted.
