As was I. One of the ways to expose a sarcastic strawman argument is to take it seriously.

I don’t have a new position. I would think it should be easy to get most of us to agree that, at a minimum, people should be allowed to decide on their own what to eat. I don’t see that position as radical.

Sure. And, of course, nobody argued with that position (we don’t take a special case of children).
