That’s also possible. He’s clearly making a point, and the exact truth may suffer. He could be changing things in a way that make him look more innocent, or in a way that inadvertently makes him seem more guilty.

Aside from the guards and the barbed wire, which is the ‘WTF’ part here, the conditions he describe are similar to descriptions I’ve been given of Chinese college dorms. God alone knows exactly what the hell was going on here.

Impossible at this point to figure out just what he saw. Impossible, also, for me to say under what conditions the underwear I’m currently wearing was made.
