If Petraeus was still an Army general I would understand his resignation a little better, but he is a just a guy running the CIA who had an affair, will go through a messy divorce, etc.

When they met, he was still in uniform and she was a West Pointer/Reserves MAJ. That doesn’t fly in Army circles, and the CIA is probably even more rigid.
