US law as it stands is completely incapable of dealing with stochastic terrorism of that kind. This is probably an even better example to point to when arguing for rebalancing of first amendment protections than the lies of Fox News.

Actually, the best initial example to use (not the best there is, but the best to use) would be Radical Islamist rants and publications on the internet radicalizing a someone who then commits acts of terror. It’s the best initial example to use because its a familiar one people understand and because the fact that the radicalizer is usually foreign spares the initial example any discussion of how he is to be tried, since the terror master is going to be killed via airstrike instead of being brought to trial.
