The former group is, sorry to say, why we so often find ourselves losing elections. They worry less about supporting a candidate who’s speaking the truth than what the people who feel hurt by the telling of that truth will do. “Oh no, what will the neighbors think!?” is their rallying cry.

Do people still use the term “totebaggers” for that demographic?
