Yep. One night when my wife was visiting me in Canada not feeling well we discovered she would have to pay $500 US just to be seen in a Canadian ER.

I wonder, does anyone maintain a page or database of these sorts of things? Mrs. Fish and I have interest in traveling the world, but it’d be good to know if, for example, on my next trip to India, if I eat something that disagrees with me and I get laid up in an Indian hospital, if I need to clear some space on my credit card to pay for an ER visit.
