The funny thing is we’ve never been what either die hard Marxists or die hard Laissez-Faire capitalists think we are. We’re a mixed economy. Most Americans support a mixed economy but most on the right deny that they do even though they clearly do support mixed economic measures.

They love to build strawmen. They do it all day, every day. Put them up, knock them down, wiggle their little wang, high fives all around. Strawmen and no-True-Scotsman fallacies.
