Also growing up in Pittsburgh. We said “Yunz” instead of you. We called them “gumbands” instead of rubber bands. We “Redd up” our rooms instead of cleaned them. We put on “gutchies” instead of underwear. We “Warshed” up instead of washed up.

and some people get all bent out of shape with ebonics and “ax” instead of “ask”.
