a rabid minority of less that 30% served as the base, the GOP just needed to get enough people to tacitly go along, convincing them that Hillary was worse or that there was no difference…voter suppression played a role to.

But apathy and indifference are the most beneficial forms of voter suppression for the GOP with a motivated base that they can count on for 30%, they just need to top it up by enough to gain an electoral majority.
