So, I wake up this morning and see that a low-level civil war is going on in the NRA, between Ollie North and Wayne LaPierre. Heh.

I’d be willing to bet that the NRA is rife with a shit ton of graft and corruption. For many, many years they had a veritable tsunami of money coming in and I wouldn’t be at all shocked to learn that Wayne probably pocketed some of that. It’s also entirely possible that Ackerman McQueen, Inc., the advertising company, was in on the scheme: maybe they overbid for that NRA contract and sent Wayne a nice little kickback.

The irony in all this is that if that suspicion is correct, Oliver North is actually doing the right thing by trying to get rid of LaPierre - that being said, he shouldn’t be resorting to mafiosi methods to get LaPierre to resign. He should present his evidence in a straightforward manner and let the chips fall where they may.

But then again, we’re talking Ollie North here.

Maybe Ollie from experience in dealing with the NRA board knows that they don’t care about evidence and integrity.
