I can only speak for the Navy/Marines for sure but I think the policy applies across the board also. There is NO absolute prohibition against someone who has taken Ritalin or a similar drug from enlisting. It WILL raise a red flag and be referred up for further review. However, if that person is off the medication for at least ONE year and STABLE, an exemption is usually granted and that person can enlist. I think that should be good news for you if you were worried about that. Any questions just ask.
