There will be prayer space there - and it’s a religious group that is going to build the whole facility. The CI has the constitutional right to build the prayer space, and is constitutionally protected in doing so. The CI has already gotten the government approvals to build so all that’s left is outrageous outrage over the fact that a Muslim group (Sufis in fact) is seeking to build its space in Lower Manhattan two blocks from Ground Zero.

I see that. But if it was a community centre with no prayer facility would it be a constitutional issue or just a municipal issue?
