That being the case, Kirk would better off politically in this state having voted for the treaty. So I don’t need to know his heart, as I know the politics.

Not just Rick Santorum, but the GOP at large, Dark. Only 8 GOP senators voted for it. So why focus on Santorum, rather than the GOP in general? Too uncomfortable to really admit what this means about the GOP?
