It’s because he has no grace or dignity to him. He can’t even pretend to act like a functioning human being.

As a NYer, I can say we will put up with a lot of bad or weird behavior from people, because that’s a survival tactic in a large, cosmopolitan city. Trump, though, manages to piss off and offend everyone, because he’s not just weird and obnoxious. He’s a poseur — a guy who pretends to have class, to be rich and powerful, when really he’s just a half successful businessman with no special skills or abilities.
