When I moved into SF I rented a car for a couple of days. Saw the first apartment I liked in Nob Hill. The manager was from a town nearby where I grew up and he basically liked me and all I had to do was sign a lease. No checks whatsoever. $550 for a studio/buffet. Down the street from the Fairmont Hotel.

You can get those prices here in Portland! I don’t want to know what it’s like in SF now for a studio there o_o
