I once met a guy who thought very highly of Mao. He actually said to me that ‘purging millions of people is sometimes the right thing to do.’ Really. He said that. I don’t have to tell you that this guy was a total leftist.
I was shocked. I knew leftists believed and excused lots of crazy stuff - but I never actually met one who openly applauded mass genocide “for the common good”.

Lucky you. They’re everywhere in higher education.
