Not so much ‘clueless’ as ‘busy’. Senators sometimes can’t wait for the end of the game so they post the tweet when it seems in the bag or set up an email message to send a few minutes after the event is likely to end.

Honest to God, Dark, is there no screw-up, no matter how screamingly obvious, that you won’t try to excuse if it’s done by a Republican? It was only a four-point game when State began their classic winning drive, which consumed 22 plays and over ten minutes. Also, it was past 11 o’clock in DC when the game ended. Clearly the senator was not rushing off to a vote or a committee meeting. Nothing on earth except her inherent idiocy prevented her from waiting before posting premature congratulations.
