I think the other part of it is the part of the GOP that is sick of the tea party. I have to wonder about the money interests, many of whom depend on real science e.g. petroleum, chemicals/materials, etc., take to this anti-science stance. I hope they speak up, because they are on a collision course with this monster they created.

I have no doubt that there is a part of the GOP that is tired of the TP, but they aren’t a majority of the party. At best it’s 50/50 and they can’t control them. They couldn’t control them when they were going on about birth certificates or during the debt ceiling debate or when they nominated a bunch of lunatics that cost the GOP the Senate. I keep hearing about these sane Republicans and I don’t doubt their existence. What I do doubt is their power and numbers. If they have the power and the numbers to reign the TP in they better get to it because Perry is at 30% and when the other clowns start dropping out of the race their crazy voters will go to him, not Romney.
