We have made campground reservations for the Great American Eclipse. Using Google maps, I’ve been able to find a baseball field in E. Tennessee that includes the shadow centerline—good for 2 min, 40 sec of totality.

It’s the first day of school here in Rockwall, so I won’t be able to travel to see the full thing. My son’s science teachers has requested I bring my telescope to the school that day, since I have a solar filter. We can at least watch a partial eclipse through it.
