If I were a prosecutor, I would use that image from the Minnesota state house in my closing arguments. “Why can a police officer show this much restraint with a white man yelling, but has to put his knee on a black man’s neck after he’s handcuffed?”

You answered your own question.

It’s the racism. And qualified immunity means that cops can get away with murder.

Holding cops accountable when they commit crimes *is* law enforcement. It’s the bare minimum.

And frankly we need to change the standards of care for policing in the US.

It needs to be a higher standard of care, not one that gives cops an easy out.
