I’m a big fan of the 2nd Amendment, but still - what is the point of this? To send moderates screaming for the hills? Obama is screwing up plenty on his own imho; why distract from the real issues by engaging in the obviously distasteful practice of bringing weapons to Presidential rallies?

And wouldn’t the Secret Service, even after interviewing him, still have to assign someone to keep an eye on this guy? Obviously you can’t just assume he’s going to stand there peacefully. Even if you are entirely well-meaning and just making a crude political statement, you’re making it that much harder for our President to be protected by a finite Secret Service staff.
