The response from Twitter looks good to me. It gives the history (such as it is) of the @alt* accounts, says the statutory authority is lacking in point 7 and then, in point 8, notes the Supreme Court has long protected anonymous political speech. The rest of the complaint is an explication of those things.

I’m of the opinion that if the @alt_uscis account had been threatening people, Twitter would not be throwing its weight behind a lawsuit to protect the user(s). For once, Twitter appears to be doing the right thing. I wonder how long that is going to last (although I did see on the @alt_uscis account that the ACLU is represnting it).

They turned over the offending account in the Eichenwald case. It’s not like they block every request nor turn over every request for information about a person.
