Ya know, as somebody who tries hard to be a good dogfather, these FB guilt-tripping “You said you loved me but you abandoned me!” things are annoying. I saw one just now, the basic story being that ‘you married a non-dog person, and had kids, and now you’re getting rid of me’.

Okay, so that’s bad. But I don’t know anyone whom that describes. Certainly not us, with dog beds all over the place!

I’m sure it happens. I knew someone who got rid of their cat when they married. I’d never do that, but I like animals more than I like people.
