I can NOT imagine anything less “American” than mass round ups of people here in this country. Seriously? How do you even TRY to deport 13,000,000 people? (If you accept that number?) Folks who have lived here for more than a generation? Worked hard, saved their money, moved up the ladder, as best they could. Sent their kids to school, in another language, to grow up to have a better life. Plus, the US ignored/choose to not enforce it’s own laws, for a LONG time. Personally, I don’t see any kind of solution, that does not include a pathway to citizenship, for most who are already here. Mind you, it’s another bureaucratic nightmare!
