Ever attend a wedding where you heard The Worst Wedding Toast ever? Well I had the displeasure to witness The Worst Eulogy Ever.

It was given by an evangelist preacher for my g/f’s husband who passed. A young man, in his 50s, and my g/f was in her early 40s. They were married 20 odd years and she was beyond devastated as you can imagine. The preacher wasn’t her preacher. She didn’t attend church. He was a preacher from a friend’s church.

He had this bizarre affect where he grinned uncontrollably through the entire eulogy. He spoke about how there was no cholesterol in heaven. No diabetes or heart attacks The deceased, btw, passed from pancreatic cancer so I had no idea where this came from. Where there is a Dunkin Donuts on every corner and the streets are paved with delicious pastries. He went on like this for 20 minutes. It was the most weird and uncomfortable thing I ever witnessed by a clergy.

And I was strangely hungry after.

Personally, I believe heaven to be an ethereal place where God exists in a form of light and being near that light is where all the bliss takes place. Beyond that, I can’t be too sure.

Wow…… my vision of heaven isn’t healthy donuts, bacon maybe, but not donuts.

The most uncomfortable I ever felt at a funeral was when a neighbor friend of mine (when I lived in Mexico) was ambushed and shot by a jealous husband….. my friend had told his brother before, that he wanted a party at his funeral (he was just in his early twenties)……. people were partying and pouring beer on his casket in the ground ……. I left……. they fulfilled his dream I guess, but it seemed weird.
