If you’ve ever handled an actual or quality reproduction war axe— like a Dane axe— it feels totally different from a wood-chopping axe. My advice to any would-be axe-murderers out there is to invest in a quality reproduction, and not just use a wood-chopping axe. There’s really no choice to be made between the two— using the wood-chopping axe to try to cleave people is a great way to cut your own foot off. Use a Dane axe, and you’ll be lopping off limbs with a smile.
