I’m leaning towards very narrow rulings in both cases that may see things punted to the courts below, rather than broad rulings that outright extend the right to marry or allow benefits/rights to gay couples.

And if Roberts is ruling, watch for attempting to justify the results on grounds outside what most folks had considered.

That’s what happened with PPACA, it’s what happened yesterday with VRA Section 4 being invalidated (not 5 as many suspected might happen), and it may well happen here too.
