Unfortunately a lot of people on the spectrum can be dicks too. Whereas my being on the spectrum I think has given me real empathy to understand the plight of the downtrodden, a lot of other people take being on the spectrum to another level. See, Furby, Rage.

All people can be dicks. All people have a capacity to do good. The “spectrum” is a varied and sort of diffuse thing. If you have trouble connecting with others on an emotional level or understanding that “they” and “we” are really the same, then it is easier to value individuals by a single metric.
