Right, but let’s say the Dems offer Trump a deal where he gets say, $1.5 Billion for his wall and agrees to the DACA protections. Does this not still effectively teach him that he can hold federal workers hostage to make Democrats give him what he wants?

I understand the dire need to reopen the government but this would be just a horrible, horrible precedent to set.

i think (with no proof) the dems are pretty well settled on ‘money for border security’, not for any wall (other than those already in place)
