Gotcha. Booing him for that though? Seems silly to me. Anyhow, I think biblical or any holy book literalism is a dangerous way to go through life.

I don’t know enough about the incident, or Bill Nye to know if:

a. He’s religious, and thought this would be a fun little Bible fact to throw in in what he thought was a receptive audience,

b. He was being difficult, assuming it to be a religious audience, and wishing to be annoying (seems unlikely, the man is a children’s entertainer),

c. He happened to mention the Bible randomly for no special reason, and the audience reacted poorly,

or

d. Someone asked, and he answered accurately.

Those are all the options that immediately occur to me.
