I had the experience with Black Sabbath at the great ol’ Akron Rubberbowl. I think at that time (‘72) they were as loud as Grand Funk.

Still the loudest show I remember hearing was Wishbone Ash at The Ohio Theater here is Columbus (74). Damn Orange amps with Thunderbird, Flying Vee and Firebird guitars.

Though the Joe Perry Project at the Agora still rings too.

Don’t forget Deep Purple! They were in the Guinness record books for a while.
