Every good Terry Pratchett novel contains a well hidden lead-you-down-the-garden-path sort of pun that makes you want to chuck it at the wall and break its spine for not seeing it coming.

The only person who outdoes that is Jasper Fforde, who sets things up so that you want to rip the wall out and throw it at the book…
