Yeah, that was what I thinking earlier. Anybody who tried to defend this shit and still claim to “support the troops” is lying his ass off about one or both.

Most soldiers, except some in lower ranks with big families, do make enough to pay federal taxes. The irony is that the one time they don’t is when they are deployed to combat zones.
