And Evolution is a theory that is proved by independent empirical observations from various sources, from genetics to taxonomy to studies of behavior.
Technically, a theory is never “proved,” because it can be invalidated at any time by new results. A theory is tentatively accepted, until something else better comes along.
IOW, you can prove a hypothesis is right or not, but technically you can’t “prove” a theory 100%. For example, the quantum theory of matter and energy supposes a carrier particle for gravitation, the graviton. It has yet to be detected.
The creationists love to seize on that “not 100% proved” aspect of scientific theories to call into question evolution’s validity. They believe in cut-and-dried, “just so” explanations. The ambiguity of real science confounds them.
