Science Based Medicine has a good critique of the French study.

It has a good critique of the study, attached to an increasingly hysterical hatchet job.

(Disclaimer — I’m pretty sure the “study” is crap, and the larger follow up one is even crappier (no control group!) but the SBM critique rapidly veers into Ad Hominem territory).
