I would add to my comment that whenever one discusses income inequality with a wingnut, one is likely to be told, “It’s not a zero sum game!”, yet they believe that the advancement of blacks, hispanics, women etc takes away from them, as if it were a zero sum game.

I’d further add that if anyone thinks that income inequality does NOT work as a zero sum game, they should look at income distribution since WWII - incomes for the top 5% only take off when incomes for the other 95% stop rising. Productivity and national income grew fairly steadily, but distribution changed radically.
