Not to rain on Macron’s victory parade, but The Guardian did leaven their reporting on the French elections (in their usual manner) with a sobering reminder:

Marine Le Pen defeated but France’s far right is far from finished.

There is another round of French elections coming up in a few months (for Parliament), and analysts predict that the FN - which, today’s drubbing aside, isn’t going to go away - MAY garner enough votes to establish itself as a significant Parliamentary bloc. Maybe.
