One site’s patrol car logs showed that one of the guards was using twice as much gas as anyone else even though he was driving fewer miles. Investigation revealed that he was letting the car sit and idle through most of the shift. Supervisors confronted him about this. It eventually emerged that HE DID NOT KNOW THAT THE CAR BURNS GAS WHILE IT IS SITTING STILL IDLING. If it didn’t move, it wasn’t using gas.
