When you just think you are right, it’s easy to make the ends justify the means.

Even more so when you think you are right with God.

But the thing is, take a guy like Reagan. Have you ever listened to his 1964 speech in support of Barry Goldwater? Reagan felt like some Americans were basically saying we should surrender to the Soviet Union rather than risk nuclear war. He believed this strongly. Yet he didn’t viciously attack them or say they were not Americans. He referred to them as “our well-meaning liberal friends.” He didn’t rip them even though he felt like their attitudes were tantamount to treason.

Why don’t men want to be gentlemen anymore? I would feel cheap and disgusted with myself if I acted like Breitbart, or Rush.
